Consigio · Last updated: 14 July 2026 · Effective: 14 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Consigio ("Consigio", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and safeguards information when you use the Consigio mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Consigio is a business-management platform that helps merchants operate and message their customers — including by connecting the merchant's own WhatsApp Business Account and sending messages on their behalf through the official WhatsApp Business Cloud API.
We have written this policy to be clear about what we do. If you have any questions, you can reach us at support@consigio.com.
1. Introduction
Consigio is built for businesses. When you connect your WhatsApp Business Account, import your customers, or send messages through the Service, you are acting as a business and, where applicable, as an independent controller of the personal data of your own customers. This policy describes Consigio's own practices. It does not govern how you, as a merchant, handle your customers' data — you are responsible for your own privacy notices and legal bases when using the Service to contact your customers.
We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your message content to train machine-learning models.
2. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use the Service.
2.1 Information you provide to us
Account & profile information. Your name, email address, password (stored hashed), and business profile details such as business name, display name, and country.
WhatsApp connection data. When you connect your WhatsApp Business Account through Meta's Embedded Signup, we receive your Meta Business Manager ID, WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) ID, WhatsApp phone number ID(s), business display name, and a temporary access token that lets us operate the account on your behalf.
Customer data you manage. The contact records you create or import into Consigio about your own customers — for example, names, phone numbers, order history, notes, and tags.
Message content. The message text, templates, media, and recipient details you instruct us to send, and the content of messages routed back to you through your connected account.
Support communications. Information you provide when you contact us, including the content of your messages and any attachments.
2.2 Information we collect automatically
Usage & device data. Basic analytics about how you use the Service, device type and operating system, app version, language, and crash or diagnostic reports that help us maintain and improve the Service.
Message metadata. Delivery records associated with messages sent through your account, such as recipient phone number, template name, send/delivery/read status, and timestamps. We use this to display status and history to you.
Subscription data. Your plan and subscription status (for example, whether you are on the free tier or Consigio Pro), processed through our payments provider.
What we do not do. We do not read or analyze the content of your customers' replies beyond what is required to route and display them to you, and we do not use message content for advertising or model training.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
Authenticate your account and connect and operate your WhatsApp Business Account via the official WhatsApp Business Cloud API, at your direction.
Send, schedule, and deliver the messages you instruct us to send, and display delivery status, history, and templates to you within the Service.
Provide and maintain your subscription (including free and Consigio Pro tiers) and process related transactions.
Respond to your support requests and communicate important notices about the Service.
Secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Diagnose issues, conduct analytics, and improve the Service.
Where we rely on a legal basis to process your data, we do so on grounds such as performing our contract with you, complying with law, or pursuing our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service. Where consent is required, we will ask for it.
4. Your Privacy Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you have rights to access, correct, export (port), restrict the processing of, and delete your personal data. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and you will not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
You can exercise these rights by:
Using the in-app settings to manage your profile, disconnect your WhatsApp Business Account, or delete your account; and
Contacting us at support@consigio.com to request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Where we are processing data on behalf of you as a merchant (for example, your customers' records), we will assist you in fulfilling your customers' requests as required by our agreement and applicable law. Some requests may be declined where we are legally required to retain the data (for example, transaction records) or where granting the request would undermine security or the privacy of others.
5. How We Share Information
We share information only as described below.
Meta Platforms, Inc. (WhatsApp). To send and receive messages through the WhatsApp Business Cloud API, we disclose your WhatsApp connection data and message content/metadata to Meta, governed by Meta's own privacy practices. This is required to provide the core messaging functionality.
Payments & subscription providers. We share subscription and purchase-related information with our payments provider (RevenueCat) and the applicable app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) to process subscriptions such as Consigio Pro. We do not directly store your payment-card details.
Service providers. We engage trusted providers (such as our cloud hosting and database provider, Supabase) to store and process data on our behalf. They are bound by contractual obligations to handle data only as we direct and consistent with this policy.
At your direction or with your consent. For example, when you choose to send a message to one of your customers.
Legal & safety. We may disclose information where we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, or enforceable governmental request; enforce our terms; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Consigio, our users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.
WhatsApp credentials. Stored only while your account is connected. When you disconnect your account, we delete the stored access token.
Message logs & metadata. Retained while your account is active and as needed to provide history and delivery features; deleted or anonymized when you delete your account or on request.
Customer records. Retained while you use the Service and until you delete them or your account.
Account & transaction records. Retained as necessary to operate your account and to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. Upon account deletion we delete or anonymize your personal data, subject to the limited retention required by law. There may be a short delay before copies are removed from backup systems.
7. How We Protect Information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. In particular:
Access tokens and credentials are encrypted at rest.
Data is transmitted over encrypted (TLS) connections.
Access to personal data is restricted to personnel and systems that need it to operate the Service, under confidentiality obligations.
We review our collection, storage, and processing practices, including physical and logical security measures, to prevent unauthorized access.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We work continuously to strengthen our safeguards.
8. International Data Transfers
Consigio is operated globally, and our service providers may process data in multiple countries. Primary infrastructure is hosted in the Mumbai region (India). Where we transfer personal data across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms — and apply the same protections described in this policy regardless of where data is processed.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is a business tool directed to merchants and is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child without appropriate authorization, we will delete it as soon as possible.
10. Cookies & Similar Technologies
Our website and web-based features may use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; however, some features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide more prominent notice (such as in-app or by email). We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
